Raleigh CrossFit is a “strength and endurance-based” approach to fitness training that people from all ages and fitness levels can participate in. CrossFit, known as “The Sport of Fitness” is a constantly changing training program that combines Olympic lifting, powerlifting, gymnastics, endurance (running, swimming, biking and rowing) and many other dynamic and fun movements, including kettlebells and plyometrics.
We train together in a team environment, led by a certified CrossFit coaching staff.
The Raleigh CrossFit programming is completely scalable to meet your own fitness and physical abilities, no matter what your fitness background is. We structure each workout session so that you don’t have to spend 2 hours in a gym to reach your fitness goals. At Raleigh CrossFit, we will teach you how to work, how to eat and how to be “well” so that your fitness potential rises to the top. We are not in the fitness business to sell you anything. We are coaches. With that being said, we want to ensure that you begin your journey towards a fit and healthy life in the right way. If you are new to CrossFit, we will sign you up for the Foundations course. Prior to beginning the CrossFit program, each athlete must be able to perform the nine fundamental movements that are the backbone of CrossFit training. This teaching, or “Foundations”, is done over the course of three, 1-hour sessions. A Raleigh CrossFit coach will provide personal instruction of the nine fundamental movements of CrossFit. We want to make sure that you are structurally sound to get your body prepared in the right way. You have to learn to crawl before you can walk right? If you already have CrossFit experience, great! But you too will have to be evaluated and given the green light before you head into our programming.
Raleigh CrossFit is a fitness facility. You will utilize your own body weight, barbells, kettlebells, dumbbells, medicine balls, gymnastics rings and pull-up bars. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to use them or what they are. We will teach you. We love this stuff! We get excited about teaching and evaluating. So let us worry about that.
The workout sessions are done as a group, but each individual athlete is in charge of their own progress. The coaches at Raleigh CrossFit will be there each step of the way to ensure that EVERYONE is performing the movements safely and performing to their highest potential. It is much more than personal training. You will have a trainer and all of your friends and fellow CrossFitters pushing you to best the best you can be.
